Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a classic trekking destination located in the Mustang Region that includes the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki River. The trek covers the maximum altitude of 3800m. What Permits Are Required for Jomsom Muktinath Trek? 

The permits required for Jomsom Mukitnath Trek are Trekkers Information Management System(TIMS) and Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). Two permits are required for hiking in the Annapurna Circuit. They are available at tourist offices in Pokhara and Kathmandu. But if you wish to take permit without any issue we recommend to take permit by our company.

Are there any leaches on the trail?

There may be some leaches in the forest, but it isn't that bad. The guide will assist you with some leach preparations. You can follow him and listen to his advice. The majority of the case guides will carry salt while walking through the woods.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu valley (1360m).

Welcome to Nepal. Our team member will be waiting for you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Our team member  will welcome you and transfer you to a three-star hotel in Kathmandu (in a private vehicle). You can relax for a while after checking into the hotel. We will meet you at our office and introduce you to your guides and brief you on the trek. The meeting will be followed by a warm welcome meal at one of Kathmandu's best traditional Nepali restaurants. Along with the meal you will get to experience ethnic dancing and cultural music of Nepal. Rest overnight.

Day 02: Guided Sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley

After brekfast, our sightseeing trip will start. We will visit many places like temples, museum, World Heritage sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Thamel, Asan bazar, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and many more.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syange/ Jagat.
After breakfast we will drive a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Jagat. Explore the beautiful village around and rest overnight.

Day 04: Trek from Syange/Jagat to Dharapani (1943m).
We will start our trek from Jagat to Dharapani walking for 3-4hours. We will pass through some of the best scenic places around. Enjoy the scenic beauty and rough trekking trail. Rest overnight.

Day 05: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2720m). 

After breakfast we will trek from Dharapani to Chame walking for 4-5hours. We will trek fascinating trekking trail passing through beautiful colored villages and humble people. Rest overnight.

Day 06: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3190m).
We will  trek from Chame to Pisang walking for 5hours. Enjoy the fascinating trekking route surrounded with green forest and high Himalayas. Rest overnight.

Day 07: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3540m).
We will trek for 4-5hours from Pisang to Manang. Enjoy the scenic route and photographic view. Enjoy welcoming programs at Manang and rest overnight.

Day 08: Acclimatization day in Manang.
Explore around Manang. Enjoy the breathtaking view, holy temples and shrine, shiny lakes nearby and majestic view of mighty Annapurna and other majestic peaks. Enjoy evening dinner and rest overnight.

Day 09: Trek from Manang to Letdar.
Trekking for 5hours today we will reach to the beautiful village of Letdar. Enjoy the natural and cultural beauty around. Rest overnight.

Day 10: Trek from Letdar to Phedi or High camp.
Early morning trek from Letdar to Phedi or high camp. Today we trek for 4hours. Enjoy the snowcapped view of the high camp. Rest overnight.

Day 11: Climb from Phedi or High Camp to Muktinath (3800m).
We will trek from high camp all the way to holy Muktinath. We trek for 4-5hours trekking through snowy trail. Enjoy the scenic beauty a culture of Muktinath. Rest overnight.

Day 12:  Trek from Muktinath trekking to Jomsom through Kagbeni (2780m).
We will trek for 4hours from Muktinath to beautiful Jomsom village. Enjoy the culture and encounter with the humble people of Jomsom. Rest overnight.

Day 13:  Early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Travel around Pokhara.  We will fly a scenic flight from Jomsom to the paradise city Pokhara. Explore around Pokhara and enjoy the sightseeing. Rest overnight.

Day 14: Drive/ fly back Kathmandu from Pokhara.
Early morning drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic ride and rest overnight at Kathmandu valley.

About Nepal Visa:

Nepal visas can be easily obtained from the Government of Nepal, Nepalese Embassy or Consulate office located in your country. You can get a visa from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on your arrival or from any other entry point in Nepal. Make sure to bring a few sets of your passport size photos. Visa fees are inexpensive.

You can also apply for a visa in a near embassy or either you can travel to Nepal and get a visa on arrival. We will assist you to settle your visa work too.

Accommodation in Kathmandu and Trek:

We offer you a star rated accommodation with comfort and cozy. You will be amused with the facility and warmth we offer you including facility like (attached bath, A/C, 24 hours running hot and cold shower). During the trek your accommodation is includes Mt. Lodge and local tea houses but we do our best for providing the best available lodges on a twin- sharing basis, some tea house are basic with shared washing and toilet facilities. Meals and Drinking Water:

We provide you only Bb facility in city as preferred in itinerary. Full board meals are included (breakfast, Lunch and dinner with cup of tea or coffee) throughout the trek.  We provide you food from the local tea house Mt. Lodge en route chosen from a menu. Breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea house we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between. You can enjoy the Nepalese style cuisine or any other continental food as per required. You are to be giver from pizza to snacks. Most teahouses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetable. A variety of cereals, bread and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast.

Health and Fitness Required:

Health is the most important part of traveling or trekking. One must possess good physical condition before and while commencing Himalaya’s tour. If you don’t have any trekking experiences better grab one or be physically prepare for the trek. Before commencing adventurous trek you can commence a short hike, cycling or a short walking tour, this may help you a lot throughout the trek.

The highest height you will reach on this trip is 5545m from the sea level. The walk may be ups and down passing various villages, high land, wilderness and much more difficult and rough trail.

We strongly advise travelers to consult with your medical doctor before travelling and do the regular check up of your health and report us while booking a trip with us.

Our porter are fully equipped and insured for each trip they are responsibility with us. As you know that we are very honest with the porter issues and their condition while on trek thus we make sure that our porter are fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with international porter Progress Association for the welfare and befit for the touristic porters.

It is our company’s management system; the maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG so be sure that your trekking bag is not loads more 20 KG.

One of the most important factors of trekking is the travel insurance. To be sufficiently protected in terms of insurance, you will need specialized travel insurance for participation in risky activities.

Your travel insurance policy must be covers emergency evacuation, trip injury, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, theft, liability is recommended.
