Makalu base camp trekking is an adventurous trek compared to all other treks. This trek takes you to Makalu Base Camp (5250 m), recently designated as Makalu Barun National Park and Conservation Area. Makalu ranks in 5th in the top mountains of the world. This region is well blessed by the nature and comprises of so much of beauty that you can fail to hold. The trek begins with a flight to Tumlingtar which leads us to the Arun River valley to Sedua and Num, after crossing Shipton La Pass which takes us to dazing upper Barun river valley for a which we will be able to view Makalu and Chamlang Himal very closely and rejoice yourself in that panoramic view. This region is less crowded since it is a remote area which results to less number of trekkers compared to other trekking region in Nepal. But this trekking route has no any other natural charm left for this earth.
Commencing this trek you can experience various culture and life style of people in the remote region of Nepal. The most of all Mt.Makalu is a dream view that you cannot take your eyes away. You’ll have completely different adorable placement between the mountains.
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu valley (1360m). We assist you from international airport to our hotel. Rest overnight.
Day 02: Half day sightseeing tour to Kathmandu valley and prepare for the trek. Rest overnight.
Day 03: Today early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and then trek to Num. rest overnight.
Day 04: Today we trek from Num walking for 5-6hours all the way to Ambrak (1065m). Rest overnight.
Day 05: Today we trek from Ambrak walking for 5-6hours all the way to Mayum (1870m). Rest overnight.
Day 06: Today we trek from Mayum to Taklung La (3424m). Rest overnight.
Day 07: Today we trek from Taklung to Allandale (2800m). Rest overnight.
Day 08: Today we trek from Allandale to Dukpukharka (3375m). Rest overnight.
Day 09: Today we trek for 5-6hours from Dukpukharka all the way to Tashi Zongtar (3600m). Rest overnight.
Day 10: Today we trek from Tashi Zongtar to Isuwa the high camp (4700m). Rest overnight.
Day 11: Today we trek for 5-6hours all the way from Isuwa High Camp to Makalu base camp. Explore around and rest overnight.
Day 12: Early morning trek back from Makalu base Camp to Yagle Kharka (3700m). Rest overnight.
Day 13: Acclimatization day at Yagle Kharka. Explore around to visualize some of the beautiful natural scenic view and cultural experience. Rest overnight.
Day 14: Today we trek from Yagle Kharka to Mumbuk (3350m). Rest overnight.
Day 15: Today we trek from Mumbuk to Kauma (3560m). Rest overnight.
Day 16: Today we trek from Kauma to Tashigoan (1864m). Rest overnight.
Day 17: Today we trek from Tashigang to Num. rest overnight.
Day 18: Today we trek from Num to Tumlingtar. Explore around and rest overnight.
Day 19: Early morning scenic flight from Tumlingtar to Kathmandu. Rest overnight.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu. Explore around and enjoy evening dinner. Rest overnight.
Day 21: Final Departure.
About Nepal Visa:
Nepal visas can be easily obtained from the Government of Nepal, Nepalese Embassy or Consulate office located in your country. You can get a visa from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on your arrival or from any other entry point in Nepal. Make sure to bring a few sets of your passport size photos. Visa fees are inexpensive.
You can also apply for a visa in a near embassy or either you can travel to Nepal and get a visa on arrival. We will assist you to settle your visa work too.
Accommodation in Kathmandu and Trek:
We offer you a star rated accommodation with comfort and cozy. You will be amused with the facility and warmth we offer you including facility like (attached bath, A/C, 24 hours running hot and cold shower). During the trek your accommodation is includes Mt. Lodge and local tea houses but we do our best for providing the best available lodges on a twin- sharing basis, some tea house are basic with shared washing and toilet facilities. Meals and Drinking Water:
We provide you only Bb facility in city as preferred in itinerary. Full board meals are included (breakfast, Lunch and dinner with cup of tea or coffee) throughout the trek. We provide you food from the local tea house Mt. Lodge en route chosen from a menu. Breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea house we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between. You can enjoy the Nepalese style cuisine or any other continental food as per required. You are to be giver from pizza to snacks. Most teahouses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetable. A variety of cereals, bread and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast.
Health and Fitness Required:
Health is the most important part of traveling or trekking. One must possess good physical condition before and while commencing Himalaya’s tour. If you don’t have any trekking experiences better grab one or be physically prepare for the trek. Before commencing adventurous trek you can commence a short hike, cycling or a short walking tour, this may help you a lot throughout the trek.
The highest height you will reach on this trip is 5545m from the sea level. The walk may be ups and down passing various villages, high land, wilderness and much more difficult and rough trail.

Our porter are fully equipped and insured for each trip they are responsibility with us. As you know that we are very honest with the porter issues and their condition while on trek thus we make sure that our porter are fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with international porter Progress Association for the welfare and befit for the touristic porters.
It is our company’s management system; the maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG so be sure that your trekking bag is not loads more 20 KG.
One of the most important factors of trekking is the travel insurance. To be sufficiently protected in terms of insurance, you will need specialized travel insurance for participation in risky activities.
Your travel insurance policy must be covers emergency evacuation, trip injury, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, theft, liability is recommended. Make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking your stay in Nepal such as trekking and climbing including others trip.
