Overview

Mt Makalu (8463m) is the world’s fifth highest peak in Nepal. This fascinating peak was fist scaled by French party in 1955. This attractive and striking massive is situated just 14 miles east of Everest in the Khumbu region. Its size alone is imposing, but it’s perfect pyramid structure with four sharp edges makes this mountain all the more almighty. This fascinating mountain expedition offers you with delighted natural and cultural scenery, impressive and attractive cultural villages by the route, and many more scenery and scenic view points. Mt Makalu is the most dangerous and difficult peak to scale. The mountain is disreputable for its steep terrains and knife-edged crests that are completely open to the rudiments.

Mt Makalu Expedition starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar and then trekking the adventurous and rough trail of khumbu region all the way to the top of the mighty peak. Day 1: welcome to Kathmandu valley (1360m). Upon you arrival we assist you from international airport to our hotel. Rest overnight. 

Day 2: Full day cultural and sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. Explore the sightseeing sites and enjoy the world heritage sites tour. Enjoy evening dinner and rest overnight. 

Day 3: Half day Kathmandu valley tour and prepare for the trek. Rest overnight. 

Day 4: Early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (285m). Rest overnight. 

Day 5: Trek to Mane Bhanjyang (1440m). Rest overnight. 

Day 6: Trek to Chichira (1980m). Rest overnight.

Day 7: Trek to Num (1851m). Rest overnight. 

Day 8: Trek to Sheduwa (1500m). Rest overnight. 

Day 9: Trek to Tashigoan (2100m). Rest overnight.

Day 10: Trek to Kauma (3760m). Rest overnight. 

Day 11: Trek to Dobato (3700m). Rest overnight. 

Day 12: Trek to Jark Kharka (4800m). Rest overnight. 

Day 13: Trek to Hillary Base Camp (4800m). Rest overnight. 

Day 14: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (4870m). Rest overnight. 

Day 15-48: Climbing period Mt. Makalu.

Day 49: Clean up Base Camp

Useful Info

About Nepal Visa:

Nepal visas can be easily obtained from the Government of Nepal, Nepalese Embassy or Consulate office located in your country. You can get a visa from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on your arrival or from any other entry point in Nepal. Make sure to bring a few sets of your passport size photos. Visa fees are inexpensive.

You can also apply for a visa in a near embassy or either you can travel to Nepal and get a visa on arrival. We will assist you to settle your visa work too.

Accommodation in Kathmandu and Trek:

We offer you a star rated accommodation with comfort and cozy. You will be amused with the facility and warmth we offer you including facility like (attached bath, A/C, 24 hours running hot and cold shower). During the trek your accommodation is includes Mt. Lodge and local tea houses but we do our best for providing the best available lodges on a twin- sharing basis, some tea house are basic with shared washing and toilet facilities. If you are prefer a single room in Kathmandu and trek you may indicate your preference on request and pay a single supplement cost. Contact us

Meals and Drinking Water:

We provide you only Bb facility in city as preferred in itinerary. Full board meals are included (breakfast, Lunch and dinner with cup of tea or coffee) throughout the trek.  We provide you food from the local tea house Mt. Lodge en route chosen from a menu. Breakfast and dinner is to be provided from the same tea house we would overnight but lunch would be en route in between. You can enjoy the Nepalese style cuisine or any other continental food as per required. You are to be giver from pizza to snacks. Most teahouses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetable. A variety of cereals, bread and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast.

Health and Fitness Required:

Health is the most important part of traveling or trekking and expedition. One must possess good physical condition before and while commencing Himalaya’s tour. If you don’t have any trekking experiences better grab one or be physically prepare for the trek. Before commencing adventurous trek or mountain expedition you can commence a short hike, cycling or a short walking tour, this may help you a lot throughout the trek.

The highest height you will reach on this trip is the summit of the mountain you climb. The walk may be ups and down passing various villages, high land, wilderness and much more difficult and rough trail.

We strongly advise travelers to consult with your medical doctor before travelling and do the regular check up of your health and report us while booking a trip with us.

Guide and Porter:

Our porter are fully equipped and insured for each trip they are responsibility with us. As you know that we are very honest with the porter issues and their condition while on trek thus we make sure that our porter are fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with international porter Progress Association for the welfare and befit for the touristic porters.

It is our company’s management system; the maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG so be sure that your trekking bag is not loads more 20 KG.

Travel Insurance:

One of the most important factors of trekking is the travel insurance. To be sufficiently protected in terms of insurance, you will need specialized travel insurance for participation in risky activities.

Your travel insurance policy must be covers emergency evacuation, trip injury, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, theft, liability is recommended. Make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking your stay in Nepal such as trekking and climbing including others trip.

Group Size:
