Bardiya National Park is one of the largest but the least distributed national parks, and it is known for its rich biodiversity and ecosystem of wild animals and bird species. It lies in the Terai region of south-western Nepal. The national park covers an area of 968 sq km. The national park is home to wild animals, like one-horn rhinos, wild elephants, leopards, spotted deer, barking deer, and many more. Not only that, it’s home to different kinds of bird species like peafowl (peacock), bar headed geese, white-rumped vultures, and many more. It's also the most reptiles, like the Gharial, Marsh Mugger Crocodile, King Cobra, and Indian Rock Python.

70% of the park is covered with the sal, Sisso, Khirro, Semal, and Kapok trees, which are lush green and dense. The park has a balanced mixture of grassland, savannah, and riverine forest. The park is famous for its tiger conservation, one-horn rhino, and other wildlife, and bird watchers paradise, and the important thing is that it is less crowded than other national parks like Chitwan National Park.
