Dhampus Australian Camp Hike is one of the short hikes in the Annapurna Region taking you through beautiful, naturally and culturally rich points: The route goes through Dhampus then Naudanda drives back to Pokhara. Dhampus offers the panoramic mountain view of Dhawalagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu besides being a culturally rich spot because of its Gurung community inhabitants.
Australian Camp Hiking is designed to hike up to the Australian base camp and then hike to Naudanda. If you are searching only for Dhampus Hiking or do not continue hiking/trek to Naudanda then the 2-day Hiking to Dhampus package can be your choice. Post breakfast and a short briefing about the hike, we drive from your hotel to Phedi, Hemja which shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes, and start our hike to Astam. We will have lunch in Dhampus and spend time sightseeing the place as Dhampus is culturally rich besides being aesthetically beautiful. Spending some time in Dhampus, we continue our hike to the Australian Camp for an overnight stay. Fishtail, Annapurna Range, and Lamjung-mountain range can be seen from here. Ideally, the day is a 3.5-4.5 hours hike.
