Sarangkot Naudanda hiking trail offers you the splendid Himalayan range and a scenic view of Pokhara City. The hike is best for the ones intending to experience short hikes with family, friends, or kids or having the time restraint for the longer treks. The hike can be started with the morning view of sunrise and continued hike to Naudanda but if you are not a morning person, we can start the hike post breakfast through Sarangkot reaching Naudanda. The hike can be pleasurably extended for two days staying overnight at Naudanda on the first day.
Sarangkot (1600m) is a must-go place if you are in Pokhara. Widely famous for Sunrise (which is highly recommended) and paragliding start-off spot, Sarangkot offers you the panoramic mountain view of Manaslu (8156m), Annapurna II (7937m) and Dhawalagiri (8167m), Mt. Fishtail (6997m). Most travelers prefer to visit here at dawn to see the first rays of the sun touching the mountain peaks offering nature in its best form.
Post breakfast, our guide will come to pick you up at your hotel in Pokhara. After giving a brief overview of the hiking and the trail, we start off our two-day Sarangkot Naudanda hike. Pame is 15 minutes drive from Lakeside also being the start-off point for our hike. Our hiking starts from Pame to Sarangkot. This route normally takes 4 hours to reach Sarangkot. Pame to Sarangkot hiking trail goes through the typical Nepali village. These villages are so near by tourist city of Pokhara but still, they are untouched by modernization. Sarangkot is a beautiful viewpoint that is very famous for its panoramic view of Annapurna mountain and Pokhara City located on the bank of Fewa Lake.

Wake up before sunrise and come out from the guest house for a beautiful sunrise. After sunrise and breakfast in Sarankot, we will start our hiking to Naudanda. The trail presents Kaski Kot, a ruined ancient fort. (Kot meaning fort). Before the unification of Nepal, Kaski was one of the kingdoms so ruins of the old palace can still be seen in Kaskikot. Besides local culture and important historical landmarks, the trail provides majestic natural scenes. Reaching Naundanda, we explore the scenic countryside and sightseeing in the small city. We head to Pokhara city on private car. Pokhara is 32 kilometers downhill and shouldn’t take more than 45 minutes in the car.
