Gosainkunda Lake Trek is one of Nepal's most gorgeous and religious treks. People from all over the world come to trek in the Langtang region because of its pristine beauty and sacred lake. In Tibetan, Langtang means "following yak," because Lang means "yak" and tang means "following yak." The Langtang region is noted for its beautiful mountain vistas of Langtang Lirung (7,227 meters), Gangchenpo (6,388 meters), Yala Peak (5,520 meters), Naya Kanga (5,844 meters), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 meters), Shishapangma (8,027 meters), and others. Gosaikunda Lake is one of the most sacred lakes to Hindus and Buddhists.
According to mythology, Lord Shiva, the destroyer, swallowed the Halahal poison that emerged from the Samudra Manthan (ocean churning), and then used his Trishul (trident) to extinguish the poison's burning. He smashed it into the Langtang glaciers, and water came out, which he drank to relieve the burning. As a result, the Gosaikunda Lake was formed, and it later became a spiritual site for Hindus and Buddhists. Scientists assume that the glaciers near its peaks melted and creating a lake.

Early morning after breakfast, we will drive to Dhunche along the Pasang Lahamu highway, named for the first woman to summit Mount Everest. Dhunche is about 100 kilometers from Kathmandu, thus the travel will take 4/5 hours over lovely green hills and terraced fields. You will learn about the locals' way of life while traveling. We will eat lunch and enjoy the drive to our destination. When you arrive, check into your hotel and rest for a while. After that, meet your guide and porter, who will accompany you during the trek. In the evening, we will hike to the viewpoint from which we can observe the spectacular Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal, and the Manaslu Ranges. Enjoy the gratifying sunset stroll down to your accommodation, then unwind for the night with an authentic Nepali supper.

Following breakfast, we will trek to Chandanbari. A quaint, lovely town known locally as Sing Gompa. The trail will ascend through beautiful oak, pine, and rhododendron forests. During the hike, we will also see the spectacular Himalayan ranges in the background. On the journey, you'll observe gray langurs and other wild animals, adding to the trek's splendor. We will rest in Chandanbari after we arrive. Chandan Bari is noted for its monastery and yak cheese. The cheese here is created locally, which is quite excellent and worth trying once in a lifetime. The winds here are fresh and gentle. The area is packed with breathtaking hills and woods, with Tibetan flags fluttering all around the village. Check into your tea house and unwind for the night while eating the amazing, tasty food.

After breakfast, we will begin our walk to Gosaikunda. A sacred location for Hindus and Buddhists, located at an elevation of 4300 meters. We will hike through tough terrain and alpine sceneries. As we ascend, we will see the Himalayas dominate the horizon, providing glimpses of stunning peaks and glaciers. After arriving at Gosaikunda, we shall admire its beauty and then relax for a while. We shall also pray at the Shiva temple, which is located close the Gosaikunda Lake. You will see adjacent peaks reflected in Gosaikunda Lake, adding beauty and making us feel rejuvenated. You can have a holy dip, it is believed that people who take a holy dip here get cleaned of their souls and become pure from within. After exploring Gosaikunda Lake, we will visit three more nearby lakes. Enjoy the entire day around Gosaikunda Lake and explore the other 108 lakes dispersed across the 4 square kilometers. After that, head down to your tea house and unwind for the night.
