Best Season For Nepal Tour Package

The best time for 4-day 5-night tour from Kathmandu and Pokhara depends upon what you actually love to explore. You will travel in city areas only during this package so you can travel through out the year. But depending upon the season you will have different taste to explore.

Spring (March to May):

During this season, the weather is quite warm and pleasurable, having temperatures ranging between 15°C to 25°C. The skies are clear, have great visibility of the hills and Himalayan peaks. Outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, paragliding, as well as sightseeing are a great attraction during this time of the year. Also, the roads are in good condition, which makes our tour smooth and enjoyable.

Autumn (September to November):

This season is considered the peak season for the trekking in Nepal, as the sky are clear and weather is also stable. This season is also know for festivals in Nepal. Nepalese greatest festivals, Dashain and Tihar, also occur during this season, which helps tourists to attend and experience the Nepalese culture. You can be a part of festivals like Dashain, Tihar. Each festivals has its own meaning and importance in these regions.

The weather is also cool, having temperatures ranging from 12°C to 20°C. The dust and the haze that fill the air are washed away by the monsoon rains, and the views of the mountains are crystal clear. Mountains are clearly visible from Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Monsoon (June to August):

This season is generally the least favorable time to travel in Himalaya or outside the city areas. This period brings heavy rainfall across Nepal, especially in the hilly and mountainous regions. The roads, particularly the highway connecting Kathmandu and Pokhara, can become slippery and vulnerable to landslides, leading to travel delays or even disruptions. The landscape during the monsoon is lush and vibrant, with terraced fields and forests bursting with shades of green.

If you love to walk in rain, love the smell of mud, want to explore the cloud forest and don’t mind the rain and are looking for a quieter, travel experience, the monsoon season can still offer a unique charm. It’s also a great time for indoor activities, cultural tours, and exploring the rich food scene in both cities.

Winter (December to February):

This season offers quite a different experience for travelers visiting Kathmandu and Pokhara. The mornings and nights seem to be colder than during the day. This season is not very crowded, so it is best for people who love peace and a relaxed journey through the tour. The mountain visible from Kathmandu and Pokhara are also covered with lot of snows during this time.

However, for those planning to include higher-altitude treks, it’s important to be aware that some routes may be closed or difficult due to snow and freezing temperatures. Overall, winter can be a rewarding season for a Kathmandu and Pokhara city tour, especially for travelers who appreciate calm surroundings and scenic mountain views without the crowds.
