You can easily reach Bhaktapur Durbar Square by vehicle from Kathmandu. The distance is approximately 13 kilometers, and the journey usually takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. You can take a private car, taxi, or a local bus. If you are traveling by taxi or private vehicle, you can request the driver to drop you near the entrance to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, as vehicles are not allowed to enter the square itself. 

If you are planning to travel in Public vehicle you can take public bus from Bhaktapur bus park, Ratnapark. This is just near by bagbazar entrance. Or you can get on route public vehicle from various placces including New baneshwor, Koteshwor, Gaushala, New Bus park, Chabahil, Kalanki.

2. By Walking

For those who prefer a more adventurous and eco-friendly option, walking to Bhaktapur Durbar Square from Kathmandu is also possible, though it will take around 3-4 hours. You can walk along the ancient road from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur, passing through beautiful landscapes, rural villages, and small temples along the way. 3. By Cycling

Cycling to Bhaktapur Durbar Square is another exciting option. The route from Kathmandu is about 13 kilometers, and it generally takes 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your cycling speed and the traffic. Permit Price for Entrance

To enter Bhaktapur Durbar Square, foreign visitors need to purchase an entrance ticket. The current fee is NPR 1,800 or USD 18 for foreign tourists (as of the last update). This ticket provides access to the Durbar Square area and grants you entry to some of the key temples and attractions within the square. Chinese and SAARC persons should pay NPR 500 for entrance. Nepali nationals  can enter for free or at a reduced rate, depending on local regulations. The ticket helps with the conservation and maintenance of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
