Overview And Highlights

Jiri  Everest base camp trek is a combinational trek that takes you to two of the fascinating trekking destinations of Nepal. This Everest region trek is popular for its natural and cultural sightseeing tour. This trekking is regarded as the most traditional trekking trail in the Everest region. This trekking route is popular from very ancient times and carries a historic significance. This is the same route that was used by the early expedition teams to climb Everest from Nepal part. Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, were the first successful climbers of Mount Everest and they went through this trail to climb Mount Everest. After the regular flights to Lukla from Kathmandu this route is less used. Some trekkers still want to trek rather than fly to Lukla so this is a classic route for those.

Everest base camp trek offers you a delightful mighty Himalayas panorama, lush green forest, beautiful natural landscape, Sherpa cultural villages, snowcapped surroundings, and many more beautiful sightseeing places and beautiful surrounding.

This trekking usually starts from Jiri after six hours of drive from Kathmandu with a beautiful view on the way. As you arrive in Jiri you go through the places of Shivalaya, Bhandar, Set, Junbesi, Nuntala, Bupsa, and Ghat. As you come to Ghat, then from here we follow the current popular route from Lukla. While trekking we visit extremely delightful Sherpa villages and communities and baize in their culture, where you'll meet friendly people and reflect the colors, sights, and sounds of village life as well as the spirituality of Tibetan Buddhism so prevalent in the Himalayas. You can also experience famous monasteries and gumba through this trekking region. This trekking can enhance your natural desire and help you gain memories of a lifetime experience.

Landing at Lukla Airport

Tenzing-Hillary Airport or Lukla airport is one of the most thrilling airport of the world. Many travelers considered this airport as nerve-wracking experiences on landing time. The runway is only 527 meters (1,729 feet) long. So, only Helicopters, Dornier and Twin Otters planes can land here.

This airport is visual flight rules (VFR) without mordern rader system. Sudden changes in cloud cover, wind, and visibility can make flying difficult and dangerious for landing. Flights are oftern cancalled or delayed here due to such reasons. Sometime travelers need to wait for more than a day for flying to Lukla. Despite the risks, thousands of trekkers land safely at Lukla each year. It’s an adventure in itself and often the first real thrill of the Everest Base Camp journey.

If you don't want to land here and don't want helicopter flight too, Jiri route is perfect for you. Avoiding Lukla flight and trekking through old route not only saves you from nerve-warcking feeling, you will spend more days in Himalaya by walking.

We provide you only Bb facilities in the city as preferred in the itinerary. Full board meals are included (breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a cup of tea or coffee) throughout the trek. We provide you with food from the local tea house, Mt. Lodge, en route chosen from a menu. You can enjoy Nepalese-style cuisine or any other continental food as per requirement. You are to be a giver from pizza to snacks. Most teahouses offer a variety of rice and noodle dishes, as well as soup and seasonal vegetables. A variety of cereals, bread, and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast.

Health and Fitness Required:

Health is the most important part of traveling or trekking. One must possess good physical condition before and while commencing the Himalayas tour. If you don’t have any trekking experiences, better grab one or be physically prepared for the trek. Before commencing an adventurous trek, you can commence a short hike, cycling, or a short walking tour; this may help you a lot throughout the trek.

The highest height you will reach on this trip is 5545 m above sea level. The walk may be ups and downs, passing various villages, highlands, wilderness, and much more difficult and rough trails.
We strongly advise travelers to consult with their medical doctor before traveling, do regular checkups of their health, and report to us while booking a trip with us.

Guide and Porter:

Trained, license holder, English speaking, honest and friendly...
Our porters are fully equipped and insured for each trip they are responsible for with us. As you know, we are very honest with the porter's issues and their condition while on the trek; thus, we make sure that our porters are fully prepared for the trip. We are closely working with the International Porter Progress Association for the welfare and benefit of the touristic porters.
It is our company’s management system; the maximum load carried by our porter is 20 to 25 KG, so be sure that your trekking bag is not loaded more than 20 KG.

Travel Insurance:

One of the most important factors of trekking is travel insurance. To be sufficiently protected in terms of insurance, you will need specialized travel insurance for participation in risky activities.
Your travel insurance policy must cover emergency evacuation, trip injury, lost baggage, medical treatment and expenses, theft, and liability. Make sure the insurance covers all the activities that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal, such as trekking and climbing, including other trips.

Group Size:

We organize any route of Nepal trek with a fixed departure basis or private trip; the minimum group size would be two and the maximum group size is ten or more on request. We can also organize a private trip for a solo person with a single supplement cost. Otherwise, join our estimated group departure dates available online market or ask us about your suitable flexible dates, and we will open group dates on the same date.
