Mustang is a region in northern Nepal known for its stunning natural beauty and cultural significance. Mustang was once a separate kingdom, and it still retains a distinct identity with its different traditions, architecture, and language. Mustang also has the famous "Forbidden Kingdom," closed to foreigners until 1992. Mustang trekking is popular among adventure seekers looking for a unique experience that combines hiking through stunning landscapes with cultural immersion. The trek offers a chance to explore ancient caves, monasteries, and fortresses, interact with local people, and learn about their way of life.

The Mustang tour takes you through various landscapes, from the lush valleys of the Kali Gandaki River to the arid high-altitude desert. The region also contains some of the world's highest peaks, including Mount Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.

No, you don't need any special permit to tour the Lower Mustang. But if you wish to travel to Upper Mustang, you need two trekking permits. They are available at tourist offices in Pokhara and Kathmandu. The first permit is the Annapurna Conservation permit, and the second is the Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS). But if you wish to get a permit without any issues, we recommend getting one from our company.

The best months to visit Mustang are June and September, the summer months. Visitors can enjoy the incredible landscape in relatively warmer weather during this time. This will also allow visitors to take tours and hikes in this area, which would otherwise be impossible during the colder months. But if you wish to see snowfall, then it is also advisable to visit during the winter season.
