Here we climb the hill just behind the village for unrivaled views of Nuptse Glacier, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Everest and more.

As we gain elevation, temperatures drop and forest and farmland gives way to dwarf scrub, then rock and ice. After a night halt at Lobuche, we trek to the highest village, Gorak Shep. Following the rugged trail along the glacier and ice-fall towards the summit, we reach the Base Camp of Everest.
