Adventure Vision Treks have designed this 11 days Everest Base Camp trek fly out by heli taking safety and comfort factor on top priority.
The trip starts with an exciting trans-Himalayan flight to Lukla, a popular gateway to Everest. We hike up to Namche Bazaar where we spend 2 nights for acclimatization. We trek further to hilltop village of Tengboche which houses a vibrant Buddhist Monastery. Next, we continue to Dingboche via Pangboche for the second acclimatization. Here we climb the hill just behind the village for unrivaled views of Nuptse Glacier, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Everest and more.
As we gain elevation, temperatures drop and forest and farmland gives way to dwarf scrub, then rock and ice. After a night halt at Lobuche, we trek to the highest village, Gorak Shep. Following the rugged trail along the glacier and ice-fall towards the summit, we reach the Base Camp of Everest. The hike to Everest Base Camp via Khumbu glacier might be challenging but the rewards worth it. We hike down to Gorakhshep for overnight stay.
A pre-dawn climb to Kapatthar hill ensure the majestic view of Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse and many surrounding Himalayas. We spend night at Gorakh Shep before taking a morning chartered flight back to Kathmandu with superb view of high valleys, lakes, glaciers and stunning mountain vistas – an experience that will last forever.

This option of itinerary assumes that you are already in Kathmandu or, you will arrange the hotel yourself in Kathmandu. The trip Day 01 on this option starts from Kathmandu Lukla flight and Ends on Everest to Kathmandu Heli fly-out.

Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Welcome dinner, O/n at Hotel / trek preparation
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by a representative of Adventure Vision Treks who will transfer you to the hotel. We then check-in at the hotel, freshen up and take some rest. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner organized by Adventure Vision Treks.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2800m) and trek to Phakding (2650)
Early in the morning drive to Manthali (4 hours) Take Manthali to Lukla flight. (April, May, June and July 2019). An early morning starts with a drive to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. We catch a short tran-Himalayan flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla (2,804m). At Lukla, our trekking guide will brief you and introduce you to the porter before starting the trek towards Phakding (2,610m).
We walk on a trail that slowly drop down to Cheplung villages from where we get the glimpse of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain which has never been climbed. We descend further down until Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche (3440m)
Today we continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River and cross the river several times through a suspension bridges laden with a prayer flags. We cross Chumao and Monjo village before reaching the entrance point of Sagarmatha National Park. Then after, we cross suspension bridge and walk across Jorsale village and walk alongside the River of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi. A steep climb through the forested trail leads us to Namche Bazaar. Namche is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafes and bakeries.
Day 04: Acclimatization rest day
Today is the first scheduled acclimatization day on our treks. Mountain expert suggests to stay active throughout the day: we climb high and sleep low. We spend our day in Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize and adjust our body in thin atmosphere.
After breakfast, we hike to Syangboche Airstrip that is majestically located on a hill above the town. From here, we get to witness the spectacular view of Namche and tantalizing Himalayan ranges as well. Further, we hike to Everest view hotel. It is the highest located hotel in the world and serves the best view of Everest and other peaks right in front of the table. We trek back to Namche, visit Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Cultural Museum.

Day 05: Trek to Thyangboche (3800m)
After breakfast, we take an easy trail from Namche which leads us to the wide valley of Dudh Koshi Valley at the village of Phungki Thanka. Here we get the great views of Mount Everest. We then walk along the right side of the Dudh Koshi River until Tengboche. The trail from Namche to Tengboche offers the scenic beauty of nature – rivers, hills and peaks.
Tengboche village is nestled at the juncture of the Dudh Koshi and the Imja Khola River and is surrounded by amazing hills covered with rhododendron forest. The village houses Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Here we get to witness the magnificent sight of Mount. Ama Dablam, Mount. Everest and countless other peaks. The monastery opens at 3:00 PM, so if we reach the monastery by 3, we get to observe the Buddhist culture and tradition.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (4360m)
Today we cross the Imja River via a suspension bridge and walk towards the village of Dingboche. We drop off and walk through the lush forest of birch, conifer and rhododendron treks. On the way, we get the spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We continue downholl to Debuche and cross the Imja River to reach Pangboche Monastery. We walk along Lobuche River and Imja valley before making an ascend to Dingboche.
Dingboche is “Summer Valley” of Khumbu region and contains a kilometer wall to protect the crops from the icy winds and animals. Here we get delighted with the great views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse and Island Peak.

Day 07: Rest day at Dingboche (4360m)
We spend a day in Dingboche which helps our body to acclimatize at higher altitude. Today we climb on a ridge located behind the village and witness the amazing views of eight thousanders including – Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. In addition, we also get to admire the Cholatse and Taboche Peaks. To the north-west, we can see the peaks standing above the Khumbu Khola valley. We also see the picture Dingboche village and wide Imja Khola valley from another point of the ridge.

Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4930m)
After breakfast, we continue our trek to Lobuche via Dhungla. We walk across the Trekkers Aid Post located at Pheriche (4,210m). The post is operated by the western volunteer doctors and assisted by the Himalayan rescue association. We also walk across Chupki Lhara, a rock-strewn oblique from where impressive mountain vistas can be seen. The trail then follows the Khumbu glacier moraine with exceptional views of mountain peaks like Khumbutse, the Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren and the Pumori. Mount Nuptse looms up ahead once the glacier pass is crossed.

Day 09: Trek to Gorak Shep (5288m) Excursion to Everest base camp (5545m)
The trail to Everest Base Camp is not very difficult. However, we make ascend and descend quite often on a glacier path. We also walk on rough terrains. As we reach the base camp, we admire the incredible melt patterns and enjoy the round view of ice giants on the upper reaches of Khumbu glaciers. Everest Base Camp serves the outstanding views of Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori mountains. After exploration, we retrace our step back to Gorak Shep to stay overnight.

Day 10: Climb Kalapathar – Gorakh Shep and Kathmandu by helicopter
It is another significant day of the trek. Today we will be hiking early in the morning to witness spectacular sunrise views from Kala Patthar (5,545m). It is the most famous viewpoint in Nepal to enjoy Mount Everest as well as other magnificent Himalayan ranges. After that, we trek back to Gorakh Shep.
After breakfast, we will enjoy comfy helicopter ride to return back to Kathmandu. You will experience idyllic aerial views of the wonderful landscapes as well as gigantic Himalayan range.
